Branch 4C: The Ancient Network

Your apology seems to ease some tension in SethSquatch's posture. He places his device on a flat stone, and it projects a complex grid of light that overlays the entire clearing. “What you nearly activated,” he explains, “is part of a vast defense network created by the N'hava civilization. These towers aren't just watchtowers in the conventional sense – they're nodes in a complex system that monitors and protects something far more valuable than gold or jewels: knowledge and power that humanity isn't ready to possess.”

The projection shows similar towers across the landscape, connected by lines of force that pulse with energy. One particularly strong line leads toward Kolob Reservoir, diving deep beneath its surface.

“The N'hava,” he continues, adjusting his glasses, “understood things about energy, consciousness, and the natural world that your most advanced scientists are only beginning to grasp. They left guardians, like me, to protect these sites until humanity was ready to understand them properly.”
